H ollywood in Vienna is a symphonic gala concert celebrating classic and current masterpieces of film music in the prestigious Wiener Konzerthaus (Vienna Concert Hall) in Vienna.

The music is complemented by elegant visualizations and light show. 5 projection screens and LED panels are aligned with the concert hall architecture, allowing the audience the illusion of “flying“ into the world of the movies. In the course of the red-carpet gala, the City of Vienna awards one of today’s leading film music composers with the »Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award«. Besides honoring the composers, Vienna welcomes all creative people who contribute to the wonderful world of film and offers a spectacular setting for a memorable evening.

Since its premiere in 2008, »Hollywood in Vienna« has established itself as the top-selling event of the Wiener Konzerthaus and as one of the leading film music events world-wide. It is broadcast via TV (ORF and
Unitel Classica) to 35 countries with a media value of 65 Mio contacts in Austria alone.

As a side event of »Hollywood in Vienna« , the accompanying »International Film Music Symposium Vienna« (FIMU Vienna) enables education for emerging composers and filmmakers by top industry professionals and networking.
